About Tammy Appling
Tammy Appling is a living presence moving through the world with gifts and dreams instilled in her DNA from her ancestors that she offers freely through many creative outlets. She is a child of the 60s from Georgia’s red clay, turnip greens, and corn dumplings. As a woman of the earth, Appling’s biggest accomplishment revolves around the continued work of motherhood and creating space to fortify the spirits of her sons. She received her Master of Arts in Leadership and BA in Human and Community Services from Saint Mary’s College of CA. In her community work, Appling has developed and assisted in many educational and leadership programs for formerly and currently incarcerated individuals, including MOMS (Maximizing Opportunities for Mothers to Succeed), which supports formerly incarcerated mothers and their children. In all that she does, Appling holds the deep value of human dignity that informs all of her actions, which allows her to inspire others in their healing to develop their full potential holistically.
